Yes folks it's de annual installment of Children Of The 80's which is usually held in the month of December by Hypa Hoppa & Radioactive Ent. Well allyuh know what de party concept is all about right ... a fete for all those who Grew up in the 80's... Partied in the 90's... and well just bringing back de good ole memories.

De Juice arrived at the Hasley Crawford Stadium a bit after 3 AM, and fell straight into de action. Hoppie was on stage in full costume inviting female patrons to come up and compete for the best Comic Hero/Character competition. We remember ah Catwoman (actually 2 Catwomen), Wolverine (X-Men), de Flintstones Crew, Tinker Bell, ah Super Woman and a Phantom of de Opera like crew being the main contenders. Dem Flintstones girls was getting on rheeeel wassi, yes!! ;-)

On stage entertainment kicked off shortly after with Roy Cape All Stars... yea Blaxx, Trini Jacobs & Olatunji all in full effect. Calypso veteran Black Stalin also performed, closing off the live entertainment and making way for the selection of Best Super Hero competition. After all the cheers and boos, the Best Super Hero cheque (for $5,000TT) had to be split as there was a tie between Catwoman #1 and the Flintstones Crew.

After all that, time check revealed that it was almost 6 in the morning. With a decent vibe still going, we mingled for a bit as the DJ began bussin' some real ole school rubba dubs and ting. By the looks of things, folks were all enjoying themselves ... nuttin wrong with that, ent? After all this is the land of liming!!

Until de next one, D’ local Juice out!
