Unlike last Friday for Scorching Bazoodee, we making an effort to make earlier movements since we know the traffic will be bad. So said, so it was! We even thought about getting into the police convoy we saw making it's way past Carenage unto Chaguaramas.... but our better judgment kicked in. Hehe. So wap wap, we pull a parking spot a good distance from Pier 1, as we got word that the car park was a good mess. And just in time came Young Juice and the TJJ Carnival Media van! So getting into the parking lot was no longer a problem for TJJ. Niiiiiice. And for all the tourists looking for the fete, no worries, there was a big flashing sign... "CLUB ZEN WELCOMES YOU TO LADIES 1ST".

11:15pm, and brrraaaaaps.... we in the fete and ready to roll cameras. Yes TJJ TV on the inside too (good tings come to those who wait.... well, that is what de ole folks always tell us when growing up). So we spoke with a few sexy ladies (and Mr. PlayHouse outta Toronto) as we made our way to the VIP, then onto the backstage area. Destra & Atlantik had just kicked their performance off, and this time Destra had to give props to a 'white boy' for being the only man for the season to be able to handle the ride for all of her dancers (photo) for hit tune "Saddle" on the popular Banjo Riddim. Destra was so impressed, she give him a lil' taste of a ride on her saddle (photo)!! Lucky bastard!! Fellas we are warning you.... don't go up on stage unless you're 100% sure you can handle the ride... cause dem dancers will mash you up!!

We must admit that it was a pore raising to see the fluorescent blue glow stick all swaying from side to side as Destra performed classic hit "Bonnie & Clyde". And so with the new look and image for 2008, Shurwayne Winchester and his band Caribbean Traffik Jam then prepared the massive Ladies 1st crowd for the awaited 'Flame On' man Machel Montano. Shurwayne performed hits from 2k7 and his new tracks for 2k8 and had the crowd dancing, waving and grooving to the music. One of our personal favourites for 2008, is "Carnival Please Stay". It's truly a song all of us can truly relate to.

Following Traffik .... Machel Montano HD brought nothing more than the heat when he performed for the ladies.... and we all know that Machel loves the ladies. Zan opened up the set performing his hit "Out On De Road". "I out on de road, I dere with my frens..." such a beautiful track Zanny boy. Then Machel blessed the stage performing tunes such as "One More Time" that had the females grooving and holding on to someone whether that person be close to them or just standing near them. Within his set Patrice Roberts came on with fire, with her hottie dancers, and everyone were jus admiring the evolution of our Soca princess. Very impressive Patrice, and your fans are definitely loving you this year. People, we just can't wait to hear Patrice's 1st solo album releasing this year, and to see what she has to offer beyond 2008! Not forgettin' "chippin' down de road..." yes Farmer Nappy himself, who also has evolved since moving on from his HD (Xtatik) family. We are also looking forward to hearing the "Chippin' Remix" Nappy did with reggae sensation Anthony B live!

So folks Ladies 1st was another fete to remember... nice music, nice (and sexy) people, nice vibe and remember it is all about the ladies!! And guess what? We only biggin' up the ladies for the 1st page of this gallery... fellas, you can buy us a rounds at the next fete to thank us!
