Well it's the 9th Annual All Inclusive of the Brydens Group Sports Club, and this year the theme was "Mirage". It was held at Pier 1 at we arrived there at minutes to 9 PM. Making our way into the fete through the back entrance, we strolled passed the swimming pool, a couple of food stalls and some patrons who were having a quick bite or just relaxing on the outskirts of the fete.
On-stage was JMC 3Veni with new comers to the band, Rita Jones & Ghetto Flex, performing to the masses whom had arrived long before us - remember, the fete started since 6 PM. We only caught the last ten minutes of JMC 3Veni's performance, and in an attempt to get as close to stage side as possible, we definitely ran into many joyous feters all jumpin' and wavin' to their performance.
Caribbean Vibes Engine Room then filled the entertainment gap before the DJs swung back into action. We noticed that the use of rhythm sections during intermissions has become the norm this season. Now browsing through the fete, we decided to check out what this All Inclusive had to offer. In doing so, we ran across a bake n shark, phoulorie, souse, corn soup and dessert stall. There was also a separate dining area upstairs serving food as well. It was well equipped with a projection screen, so that patrons could see stage activity while they dinned.
At 10 PM Caribbean Traffik Jam stepped on stage. Their performance was entertaining and lively as usual, but what really set things apart for them tonight was when they invited a member of the audience to joining them on stage and give a little performance of his own. Well this was one of the most hilarious and entertaining things we have seen for the C2k8 season!! The guy was so good that folks in the crowd even started to believe that his performance was planned and organized by the band. To tell allyuh de truth, we even thought it was a planned line up. After that, Shurwayne injected an extra ounce of hype into the fete when he did his fast waving towel antics as he performed his 2006 and 2007 hits Can't Wait and Open The Gate. Well iz now de fete mash up!!
By the time Traffik finished, it was a little after 11 PM. After catching a little more action from the rhythm section, we then started organizing to make movements. Yup ... time was upon us! As we ventured towards the exit, we could see the band Surface setting up to hit the stage next. Sorry to say folks, but we had to run. Karma Sutra 7 ... here we come!
