Edwin Yearwood is a natural entertainer whose musical accolades and songwriting genius have established him as an undisputed Soca King. Edwin’s musical career started at age 14. Since then, he’s captivated audiences with soulful voice and innovative lyrics and earned numerous awards. In 1995, three titles at Barbados’ carnival - Calypso Monarch, Party Monarch (repeated in 1996) and Tune of the Crop Monarch (repeated in 1997). At the 2001 Kadooment Festival in Barbados, Edwin made history by winning the Road March title with his slow jam "Sak Pase". 2002 was another memorable year with the monster hit “Road Jam”. With his new solo album Next To You, Edwin takes the music to new heights. The album is 17 feel good tracks including the hits “All Aboard” and “Pump Me Up” plus current hits “Take You With Me” featuring Lady Saw, “Weekend” and “Best In Me” featuring Mr. Lex.
