DOUBLES Ice Cream | Good things happen to good people!!

I've been meaning to post this video for almost a year now, but I wasn't happy with the audio from the shoot. But first you need to know the full story to understand the title of this post. It's Monday 25th July 2022, and I have a flight to catch around 3PM. The plan was to leave home early to stop at A&J Premium Ice Cream in Charlieville around 11AM to try their innovative "Doubles Ice Cream" creation before heading to the airport.

Like a true Trinis, we decided to call 1st to confirm they were open. And guess what? They weren't! Fortunately, Anthony answered the call, but he explained they took the morning off to spend time with their kids after having a busy weekend at the ice cream shop. Instead of opening at 10AM regular time, they were planning to open at 1PM. Not to foil our plans to taste and film the Doubles Ice Cream, we pleaded with Anthony to give us 15 minutes of their time, explaining who we were and the travel situation. 2 minutes later, he called back, and we were ON. Yay!! I wish I had recorded the phone conversations for the edit... it was so genuine.

Fast forward 30 minutes, and we're the only ones in the ice cream shop with Anthony, his wife June-Ann, and their 3 beautiful kids. Adam, Glennder, and I immediately started filming while Anthony started prep. With all the excitement and action, I didn't pay attention to the audio settings of the main camera. And to add a spoke in the wheel, Ava (their youngest kid) did what any typical baby would do... made quirkily, loud noises sporadically. So we had to put Glennder in charge of babysitting duties. Kids are the best! And after all, we were the ones cutting into their quality time with mom and dad.

The Doubles Ice Cream was delectable. Doubles lover or not, you MUST try it! Anthony and June-Ann are awesome people and a true success story. In fact, I've learned that they are awardees of the 2022 Chamber of Industry and Commerce's Champions of Business Entrepreneurship award and have also expanded business, opening a new location in Brentwood Mall, Chaguanas. CONGRATULATIONS guys. I wish your family nothing but the BEST.

All's well that ends well.
