    Once Upon A Roti


    Do you eat your roti with your hands or a knife and a fork?  Who makes the best roti?  And yes, the question of all questions: bone-in or boneless?

    These are all questions pondered by roti-lovers worldwide which will become food for thought when The Urban Recreation Association® of Toronto presents www.OnceUponARoti.com at Harbourfront Centre's World Routes Island Soul festival (Lakeside Terrace, Monday August 4, 4 p.m.). At Once Upon A Roti the answer to eternal roti questions will not be definite or decided but they will certainly be debated and delicious!


    Carivog International UK announces the first round of screening for participants in the 6th Miss Trinidad & Tobago UK Pageant and Cultural Show has begun.  Under the distinguished honorary patronage of Her Excellency Mrs Glenda Morean Phillip SC, former High Commissioner of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago to London, now Ambassador for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to the United States of America and Mexico and Permanent Representative to the Organisation of American States, delegates will be selected during the month of June.  The finals and cultural show will be held at The Bloomsbury Theatre, London on Saturday 20 September 2008.

    May 9, 2008 – Port of Spain, Trinidad:- Trinidad and Tobago’s audiences will be taken on a thought-provoking and imaginative journey with Lilliput Theatre’s adaptation of the Hans Christian Anderson tale, The Emperor’s New Clothes.  The production will premiere on Friday May 16, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at Queen’s Hall and will run throughout the weekend.

    Yolande Dior Face of Divinity 2007


    Trini Jungle Juice first met this native Trinidadian beauty, now residing in London, during the Notthing Hill Carnival 2007 season at the Trini Luau All Inclusive event. And when she told us that she was a contestant of the Divinity Model Management (www.divinitymodels.co.uk) search for the “New Face” of EM Magazine, we were not only exicited for Yolande, but felt very proud to be a Trinibagoian!
