“I have been paying close attention to the different media outlets as they announce his death and review his life. I notice that a lot of the major white media such as CNN, NBC and so on are spending a lot of time trying to figure out what his legacy will be. They seem to always be going back to the two major child molestation cases that he had to deal with. The first case occurred in the early 90s and the other approximately ten years later.
My hope is that the people remember Michael for what he was truly gifted for and did extremely well, which is, writing great music and putting on amazing shows. Michael Jackson wrote some of the most powerful songs ever written. Songs such as, “we are the world”, “man in the mirror” and so many others. He seems to have tried very hard to stay out of the spotlight except when it was purposely shun on him. He always made his music the focus, and I think in today’s entertainment industry when we have so many artists doing a lot of B.S to remain in the public eye, it is admirable to see someone who tries to stay out of the public except when it’s about the music.
Michael Jackson was the first artist in my opinion that took music videos to a whole other level. He started to create short films as music videos and that captured his audience and brought them even closer to him. In closing I sincerely hope this man rest in peace; I believe that the entertainment industry has lost one of the greatest.”
Lady Shelly went on to address the Jamaican people who are secretly and publicly bleaching their skin to change their color.
I think it is fitting to use this opportunity to discuss this bleaching situation as it has become so accepted in Jamaica. One of the things that unfortunately is very noticeable about Michael Jackson was his public color transformation from a black man to seemingly a white man. I think we will all agree that it made him physically very unattractive and indicates that he must have had some issues with himself to do something like that.
I would love it if the people in J.A that’s bleaching out their skin pay close attention to 1. How unattractive this makes you, 2. How it stretches your skin so thin that it is difficult after a while to move around as freely as you once would, and 3. Just how unhealthy this is over all.
Everyone who has, is or will bleach their skin stands the chance of getting skin cancer. Please stop it! It’s never too late regardless what anyone is saying.
