Xhosa Barbados launches their Barbados Crop Over Masquerade Band for 2017 with its signature Cooler Party at the Drill Hall of the Barbados Defence Force Headquarters’ St. Ann’s Fort, in the Historic Garrison District.

This year’s theme ‘Pure’ explores the contrasts in the world we exist with a plethora of regional creative talent’s interpretations. Starting at 4p.m. eager revelers and party goers are advised to get there early to secure their vantage points for the unveiling of what is promised to be a imaginative explosion of designs from the design team with Barbados’ and the Regions leading DJ’s to keep the party hyped all night long such as Sheldon Papp & Level Vibes, Kareem, Jus Jay, Mali Fresh & Scott Le Roc and from Trinidad and Tobago DJ Private Ryan.

Xhosa Barbados is pleased to once again have Barbadian Carla Gittens of Calori Designs as part of its design team. Not one to disappoint, Xhosa always has an exciting launch and Sunday’s launch will be no different as it also will be the big reveal of the winning costume from our innovative and fun Design Challenge. Tickets for the Xhosa Band Launch are now $60 and can be purchased from committee members or Standard Distribution Warrens and all Wine World Outlets.
