==========
I
ntroduction
==========

There are few things that can beat being in the Caribbean and being on, in or close to the water. And SUITS Breakfast Cooler Fete provided one of those experiences.  On a Saturday morning hundreds of people dressed in white, off white, and cream colored attire lined up outside The Harbor Master boat dock in anticipation of one of the hottest fetes of the carnival season.  The tickets of this party sellout EVERY year and this year was no different.

The boat was packed with beautiful people who had a wonderful time listening to the the music from the DJs, enjoying the breeze coming off of the water and it was a wonderful start to one of the most exciting fete lineups of carnival.

Now let’s talk particulars……..

First and foremost, the Suits Breakfast Cooler Fete provides a unique experience on the 1st level of the boat where you can literally catch yourself during the fete or take a moment before you start fetting, or just sit down and relax and enjoy your carniv
al the way that you want to. As most people did, I took the time to just sit down on the 1st level and enjoy my time on the boat.  I sipped on some chilled coconut water, enjoyed the view from the boat and listened to the soca music from the deck above.  Sometimes, while we are rushing from fete to fete we really do not have the time to just sit down for a moment and reflect on how blessed we are to be able to travel, lime, party and meet new people.  I took the time on this cooler cruise to sit down and just listen to the sounds from the 2 decks above me. You could hear the music, the bass making the floors vibrate, the people have a good time, the singing, the laughing, the paroxyms of laughter and the DJ sending biggups to each country in attendance. It was nice. It was a moment that I needed to take. And I was grateful for the opportunity to have an area where I could take moment and be thankful.

The Big People
Party
===========

Secondly, during the boat cruise floors 2 and 3 were where most of the fetting was happening. There was a major difference between the two floors.  The second floor was more of a “big people party” and the third floor or the top deck was all out madness.  At first, I spent a lot of the time on the top deck because of the the riddim section on that floor and because the top deck of the boat was like a Bahamian Takeover of the fete.  The #242 crew on the top deck of the boat were representing like nobody’s business. It was awesome to see my people in the place. The vibes were nice.

But... the second floor was the over 35 crew.  The wining and jamishness on the second level was a thing of beauty.  It was like there were 2 fetes inside of the fete. The top floor was like “Happy Hour” and the second floor was like “The Executive Fete.”  And even though I was on the top deck at first allowing the sun to kiss my skin and the riddim section to charm me like a charmer does vipers, I did spend the MAJORITY of my time on the second floor because... once one ah dem does take dem child bearing hips and trow waist on you like she know she using up the last of the 2 weeks of she vacation leave from she job and she know when she leave here de whole ting almost done, well bredren, THEN you already know why I stayed on the second deck.

Yuh have the donation wine, the slow wine, the fast wine, the broken hip win, the stiff leg wine and the MATURE wine.  And ah telling you right now, that mature wine will break yuh dung like a fraction.

Third, the ambience was nice.  There’s just something about an all white party in the morning that just says, “Classy.”

So......
Would I recommend
SUITS?

==============

Yes. YES. And Yes.

And not only would I recommend it but those in my crew recommend it too. We did AMBush last year and SUITS is the way to go for us. One of the VI Brothers in the crew told me, “I doh need to play in de paint. I good with SUITS. I can go upstairs and jam on someting and den come back dung stairs and hol' on someting and den catch myself on the first floor and do it all over again. I good. I doin SUITS next year for sure!”

Now, to be completely HONEST with you. The ticket acquisition process for this fete WAS NOT EASY!! However, I can understand why.  There are only so many slots on a boat. After the boat is filled to capacity, that’s it. So if I was you, I would start the process of “getting to know somebody who knows somebody” early.

The anatomy of a fete has changed. Be aware of of what’s going on before you start “Operation Trinidad Carnival.

It is the desire of TriniJungleJuice.com and The Carnival Doctor to get a ground level and grassroots approach to Carnival. For us to have you, not only get a feel for Carnival, but also a feel for the people that attend carnival. Behind every picture and video is a story but the story that you make up in your mind is not necessarily the truth.  After all the jumping up, and winin' and bacchanal is done -- we all have real lives to return to. It is our desire for you to know the other people that you share the carnival community with.

Love, Peace and Soca.
