Laventille, Port-Of-Spain - Chuck Gordon is the voice of true feters for Carnival 2016.

The back to back National Calypso Monarch has shown the door to all in disapproval of the exuberance and energy of the feting crowd in his soca monarch contender "No Jumbie Vibes".

"If yuh find we too swanky/ then you could leave de party/right now we doh cater/we doh care bout nobody/doh jumbie we," the Laventille-born singer delivers emphatically in song.

The project has reunited the 2015 Groovy Soca Monarch finalist with the dream team of writer Jason "Shaft" Bishop and Bajan super production duo Mikey Hulsmeier and Scott Galt of De Red Boyz. Together they have produced a series of memorable hits including: "Blazin", "Anything Ah Want" and Doh Take It On".

"From the moment I heard that hook in the Shaft demo I knew it was solid gold. It's everything that we feel as partiers. We doh want to be judged. We want to be able to enjoy ourselves to the fullest. And yuh know what? If you not feeling our vibes you could move and give us space to be us," Gordon said of the song.

Chuck has been busy over the past month preparing for his defense of the National Calypso Monarch title carded for Dimanche Gras night. Should he be successful he would become the third calypsonian in history to achieve a hattrick of wins. Four time winner The Mighty Duke (68 - 70) and The Mighty Sparrow (72-73) are the two others to achieve the feat.

"No decisions have been made about entering ISM as yet. I will let the people decide. But we getting ready for Calypso Monarch which I believe is still the most prestigious singing title in the land," he concluded.
