First impression while walking into Return Fete, was "WOW LOOK AT PEOPLE." This fete was lots of vibes and full of surprises! Definitely the biggest after Carnival event.
 
CROWD - 8
The crowd was huge and had a mix of all kinds of people, seemed like everybody who was in Trinidad for Carnival was there celebrating their return and definitely didn't want the party to done.
 
VENUE - 8
So far, this wasn't my favourite venue for fetes as big as Dr. Jay's in Toronto. The club FIT everyone but to move around was a real struggle. Place was too jam packed! The VIP all inclusive section was a great area though, with lots of space for the people that was there to palance, but it was just really far from the main stage.
 
VIBE - 9
The vibes overall were really great. The DJ's mashed up the place, and of course the performances! Artists Flipo, Ricardo Drue and Machel Montano, definitely brought back some of the Trinidad Carnival vibes to freezing Toronto. Flipo sounded so amazing live... his voice is so sweet, and Ricardo sang all his hits along with popular Soca songs for the season. Machel gave it 100% with full energy and even brought out Angela Hunte to perform their carnival hit song "Party Done". He also surprised the crowd with Anya Ayoung Chee, to announce that he will be having a section in Saldenah for this years Caribana designed by her called "Like Ah Boss" which got everyone even more excited!
 
FOOD/DRINK - 9
The food inside the VIP all inclusive section Catered by Drupatis Restaurant was delicious. General section had food by Randy's and was very hard to ignore the smell of the awesome doubles that was being made over in their section.
 
COST
The cost of this event for VIP was $80, general was $50
