The largest and most impressive single group of patrons attending next year’s Super Industrial Services Limited Chutney Brass will win $50,000 courtesy producers, Randy Glasgow Productions ( RGP) and the event’s sponsors. “The Biggest Lime” competition is open to all patrons attending Chutney Brass at Guaracara Park, Pointe-a-Pierre on Saturday 7 February 2015 who come in a group of over 100 people.
Over the years Chutney Brass has seen groups of friends and families attending wearing either t-shirts of the same colour and/or with personalised designs on them. RGP decided from next year to foster and encourage this display of unity and pure enjoyment by offering a reward to the biggest, best coordinated and most exciting lime at the event.
Patrons coming from across the island are encouraged to represent their communities, cricket, football and other sporting organisation's,youth groups,UTT, UWI while those folks coming in from other countries such as Guyana, Suriname, Canada, United States, London and elsewhere are all invited to make your “Big Limes” to hopefully be the group that returns home with that extra $50K in your pockets.
With the General Elections taking place next year some people who heard of the plans for the competition have already indicated to RGP that they and their big limes will be donning t-shirts bearing their choice of candidates from the various political parties and for their respective constituencies. RGP welcomes this as long as it is all done in the spirit of good fun and with mutual respect towards one another at the event.
RGP is promising that the C2K15 edition of the SIS Chutney Brass will be bigger and more impressive that previous installments in the way of logistical set up in stage, sound, lighting, riveting performances interspersed with breathtaking visuals and other aspects of the mega show. Next year will see more than 10 chutney bands,an international guest band, over 20 chutney artistes, the nation's top EDM and chutney dj's along with dance troupes, comedians and more taking the stage.
MTV Asia along with Indo music Industry specialists said SIS Chutney Brass is the largest East Indian music festival outside of India and RGP said they intend to continue building the show each year.
