Benaïssa is one of the few real talented reggae singer/songwriters from The Netherlands and proved, by opening the Sean Paul show in The Hague in 2003, that he is able to rock a massive crowd.
Success he had already back in ‘96 by founding the first, Dutch singing, r&b-rap-reggae combination called ‘Arnhemsgewijs’. Lloyd De Meza was de singer of the group. The result was two top-5 singles and a hit album in the Netherlands.
Benaïssa, also known as Kenny Wise, accompanied Michael Rose (Black Uhuru), Michael Prophet and Frankie Paul on their tour in Germany and The Netherlands in ‘98.
From that time Benaïssa did a lot of working with local talents, did performances and had some Dutch solo single-releases that reached the Dutch top-100.
Working on his worldwide release Benaïssa decided to work with producer Joost ‘Houston’ Jellema, The Feueralarm Band and The Sharp Axe Crew from Germany. On the album “Tables turn” will be featuring established artists like Lady G. and Dean Fraser, but also undeniable Dutch talents like Lloyd De Meza, Tinq, Ayya and Benjah.
