Last weekend saw D’ Party Maco and the TJJ crew visiting the western peninsular for the 2k14 installation of Fuad Khan and Friends all inclusive fete... Nights on Broadway.
Being a virgin to this event I was more than excited to entertain the idea of rubbing shoulders with the who’s who of entertainment, sports and politics. Just as I anticipated more than half the Cabinet was in attendance freely frolicking among the crowd.
Kicking the night off was the warm up performer and no stranger to the contemporary soca arena Shurwayne Winchester joined by icons David Rudder and still going at 80+, Lord Nelson. Not too far behind was crossover band KI & 3Veni who kept the crowd moving! The night’s highlight performer was Ravi B & Karma closing off the night with a stellar and not to mention MMHD-esque performance.
There was food and grog galore! Bars and eatery stalls in every nook and cranny... from Chinese to Italian, sweet to savory, finger food to three course meals. Patrons were treated to a belly’s full.
As far as drinks, any event that can afford to have Johnnie Walker, Grey Goose and Moet (to name a few) flowing till curtain call is a hit in my book.
