With the Labor Day weekend high winding down, gladly it ended on a great note.... SCORCH!!!!
Everything, from the venue to the patrons, exuded a high intensity of energy and liveliness. Although it was a weekday everyone in attendance was in full swing to party as if it were still the weekend. On the busy streets of NY it seemed like business as usual. However the corner of 8th Ave and 47th Street was transformed into a grand central station of cultural fusion from countries throughout our wonderful West Indies.
Once inside the venue you were greeted celebrity style with a step and repeat which allowed you to capture the moment before the feting begun. The party was set on a lovely glass rooftop with panoramic views of the city and it provided areas for those of us who came out to relax and listen to the sweet tunes and those of us who came to dance the afternoon away.
Sophistication and style was the theme for the dress code, everyone showed there individuality with their attire but still collectively manifested as a crowd ready to have a great time. The crowd, as usual, was committee selected, which as we know the choices were superb, nothing but the grown and sexy.
Once the sun set, the dance floor was filled with feters rocking to beats of our usual heavy hitter DJs. The bartenders kept the party goers' glasses filled with just about any drink your heart desired. One of our very favorites Ms. Trinidad and Tobago and Project Runway winner Anya and her crew came out to relish in the festivities.
Thanks to ICE BOX ENTERTAINMENT Scorch fulfilled the burning desire to indulge in a celebration of Caribbean culture and life. Until next year this fete will keep the flame going with fantastic memories captured on and off camera.
