With the TEMPERATURE way above comfortable, UNDER THE TREES was the place to be... for more reasons than one.
1. This was a guaranteed good time.
2. The promoters were gracious hosts.
3. The party goers had eclectic styles that showed the individuality of those who attended.
Once inside I quickly found refuge from the beating sun to capture the guests as they entered under the tent. Not only was it a celebration of our nation's independence but also birthday festivities, a special HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dana! The ambiance was befitting to the theme. Once inside you felt as if you were on a small private island of blue waters and white sand. The venue was nicely decorated in blue and white drapes, palm trees and white cabanas.
Although there weren't any performances, this fete was far from lacking entertainment. Once the sun decided to retire for the evening, partygoers were energized with sounds of well known DJs. Patrons were dancing and having a great time, 'wassyness' sprinkled around the place.
Well stocked bars provide refreshments to cater to everyone's palates. Also to make sure hunger wasn't an issue, there was a variety of Caribbean favorite treats. Although party goers were not in a rush to arrive early, once the sun cooled down and shade was more prevalent, people started to pour into the venue to enjoy their FOURTH.
Fari and Brownsugar promotions did an excellent job of combining an island chic vibe with NY flare. Needless to say, UNDER THE TREES was not be missed, and if you did, make sure to come and get your slice of July 4th paradise next year.
