5 Minutes With Mr. SlaughterHey Honey Bunches of Oats! I'm hanging out on the Blazer Affair Moonlight Cruise, yes a boatride in the middle of November! Just because it's cold doesn't mean we stop partying! As I was jammin', I noticed none other than Dawg-E-Slaughter aka Mr. Slaughter himself, multi-talented artist and also one of the best DJ's (X-caliber Sound) straight out of TnT on the wheels of steel. There was no question that I had to do a 5 mins with him and although it was freezing where we were, it was definitely worth it!

Ayana: It cold! Ok, being both an artist and a DJ, which one do you enjoy doing the most?
Mr. Slaughter: Well I started out DJing so it was always be my first love. There are actually 3 of us in the game who I know of that do DJing and singing; Tony Matterhorn, Lil Rick and mehself.

Ayana: Where did you get your stage name?
Mr. Slaughter: Well, my grandmother used to call me Dovie and I hated it and then all my friends started to call me Dovie too, so I asked them to call me Doggie so that's how I got the name.

Ayana: Who is one artist who you would love to collaborate with right now?
Mr. Slaughter: I would love to work with Jr. Gong.

Ayana: What's your biggest Pet Peeve?
Mr. Slaughter: Living in the studio ... although I love it sometimes.
Ayana: Hey, if living in the studio means you pumpin' out those hits, we're glad yuh living there!

Ayana: Have you ever forgotten your lyrics while on stage?
Mr. Slaughter: I never forget that! Nah, I lyin! It happened once but I recovered by asking my fans to sing along.

Ayana: Who inspires you?
Mr. Slaughter: (pauses for a second) All underdogs ... especially Shadow.

Ayana: What is something your fans might not know about you?
Mr. Slaughter: They don't know I'm a very loving father with two kids. Love you guys.

Ayana: What make you smile?
Mr. Slaughter: When a journalist asks me weird questions ... hahaha.

Ayana: If there was an anthem for your life what would it be?
Mr. Slaughter: "August Town" by Dwayne Stephenson.

Ayana: If you had a time machine where would you go and why?
Mr. Slaughter: I'd go back to when I was 4 or 5 because I was clueless to how life was and I was always happy.

Ayana: Who are you jamming to right now?
Mr. Slaughter: Right now it's only Mavado. I love all of his songs because he's real.

Ayana: Describe yourself in one word.
Mr. Slaughter: Humble.

TJJ definitely agrees!
