From The woman who introduced bar-b-que pigtail to Trinidad comes an exciting new culinary fusion of old and new ... Nick & 2J's Restaurant and Bakery. Opened on November 16th 2012, Nick & 2J's is the place to eat to celebrate Trinbagonians history and future.
As you first approach the restaurant on the Eastern Main Road St. Joseph you'll notice an aromatic throwback... a traditional dirt oven. Featured in an open air food theatre, the dirt oven is accompanied by a fireside and roasting box for all passersby to view in action. Nick & 2J's newly constructed dirt oven is the only such of its kind in the area and is true to the traditional style, being built by a authentic Carib and Nick & 2J's executive chef and owner Daniel Braveboy.
All menu items are affordably priced with starters beginning at $25 and the entries topping at $70. Opening hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Bread is Baked fresh in the dirt oven from 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and from 6 a.m. on Sunday.
