Vaughn's Red Eye 'New York Edition' Review

The energy in Tiki Village was Turnt Up on Memorial Day Sunday! For the first time ever, RED EYE came to New York for this big holiday weekend and shut it down. Literally. TJJ usually witnesses the sizzling action of RED EYE in Miami, but Tiki Village was packed with hundreds of RED EYE's biggest supporters in Brooklyn, looking to continue the insane vibe of an already blazing weekend.
We arrived around 4pm and the place was ram packed! The amount of people already inside was totally unexpected, especially because there were no lines on the outside, no crowds on the street, parking was pretty easy, and the security was no hassle. Who would have thought! On such a big weekend like this! . . . .In Brooklyn!. . . . a dream come true.
The sun was at the highest point in the sky, on the hottest day that we've had in Brooklyn thus far. What a way to start of the summer! Tiki Village is pretty spacious but it did not seem like there was enough space inside the yard for the amount of people who attended, or maybe its because people preferred to be limin under the sun. Amen! for the shaded area towards the back, it was nice and cool, with some walkin and whinin room, and you definitely did not feel excluded from the fete. Every corner of the venue had a fully stocked bar with top shelf liquor - by the bottle and by the glass, and had food. It was a relief that we did not have to travel through crowds to refill our glasses, or to grab a bite of hot doubles, a bake and shake! Yummmmm! And who can resist the johnny slushy!
The vibes switched up between the reggae and soca throughout. Something everyone surely seemed to appreciate. Despite the crowdedness, people surely found ways to get down and dirty. Woman whinin on man head and all! Unfortunately when the party was getting rhell nice and the sun was finally cooling down, ONE person ruined it for everyone in attendance, getting the party shutdown by security.
Service was on point! Security was very welcoming in getting us inside with ease, and the ladies at entry were very helpful in sorting out our accommodations. Vaughn showed the TJJ fam love as soon as we arrived inside the fete. Next time feters ... leave the contraband at home, because we all out to have a good time.
The Jungle Juice team is looking forward to MIAMI Carnival 2k12 with the RED EYE crew!
