Beach House Carnival is always a highly anticipated event on the Carnival calendar. The combination of the climax to the actual festival days and the fact that for many visitors it’s their first fete for the season contributes to Beach House Carnival having plenty vibes and plenty action. These foreigners already blasting a plethora of Soca 2012 from their musical brain boxes were more than excited to attend Beach House 2012. Furthermore, with Soca being a groovy year for 2012, this would suit the vibe and energy that Beach House strives for i.e. hold on to your dance partner and sway the evening away, make love with to the atmosphere and enjoy that other persons presence as you simply construct the beauty of dancing with no worries and as the song says "dance your problems away".

Our expectations were even higher based on the pretty steep price tag this year so we went in hoping to be wowed. We were not entirely disappointed as there was the usual spread of delicacies and bars serving premium liquor. We opted to parch our throats at the Champagne bar after a long drive only to be greeted with the news that the Moet was “chilling” as was the case at intermittent times throughout the evening.  We weren’t too fond of this system of rationing but we didn’t let it spoil our fun. That notwithstanding, the other main bars and special bars were rolling out the alcohol all evening and when we say all evening, we mean all evening! The Drinks were flowing! The lord blessed the dance and we kept drinking until the end. We also had meals upon meals upon meals upon meals upon meals. We can continue to say this since we were greeted beautifully with FULL PLATES OF FOOD up until 11:30 PM ... YES! 11:30PM ... We were still eating white basmati rice with char siu pork! Who complained last year and left Beach House to attend other events - Please do stay at your other events. Beach House has out done themselves again and without fail and no demise to the patrons they guaranteed satisfaction!

As a non-performance party (AND PLEASE KEEP IT THIS WAY) the DJs kept the Soca pumping all night.  Feters reveled, pumped their flags and we even heard some people took advantage of the soft golf course lawn and dropped on the ground and rolled. The score was written, the scriptures were read and the mere word being slammed on the street is that the party was great as always and by far made up for the blunder that occured last year! Some might even deem this event as a fantastic warm up for all the revelry that was to come for the carnival weekend 2k12.
