Rama Rammed Out!!!!
If Rama was a sneak peek of what we could expect on Fantastic Friday, well for sure I up in that! The Hasely Crawford Stadium was pack to capacity, with live full length performances by the top soca acts including Mr. Fete himself, Swappi, Bungi and Fay-Ann, btw, who was nice enough to wake up from her sleep and came to perform for us in her night gown, lol (a must see). The crowd went crazy for Fay-Ann with all the lights and sound systems off the they chanted, Fay-Ann!, Fay-Ann!, Fay-Ann! She came back on stage for a third encore to sing her 2012 Road March contender “Miss Behave”.
But it was all too much for the former Soca Monarch champion who dropped to her knees and covered her face and cried. Joining Asylum on stage was Tallpree and Problem Child, warning to ‘leave the people rum alone’ and also Prophet Benjamin who threatened to ‘throw wine’ on Denise and Destra, hmmmm, would love to see that. However, I must say, their performance was Maddariffic!!!, as the Black Spaniard would have proudly put it. Well, as for vibes, general assumingly sucked all out from VIP because judging from the looks of things, all (or most, as usual) of the action and excitement was in general. Not dissing VIP but dam!! You would think is ah Luther Vandross concert they came to see, probably they was mourning the passing of Whitney!?
