The Tobago Jazz Experience returns to the island for 2012 and this year the Division of Tourism and Transportation is scouting for brand new local talent to showcase on the festival’s many stages.
Aspiring artistes are invited to try out at the Tobago Jazz Auditions on February 5 and 12, 2012 at the Dance Studio, Opposite the Fairfield Complex from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. where they will be expected to wow the judges with their technique, stage presence and overall impact.
Whether it’s a solo act, duet or band, performers are expected to “Bring it!” and prove that they have what it takes to share the spotlight with some of the biggest names in local, regional and international music.
This year’s Tobago Jazz Experience takes place from April 21 to 29, 2012 and will feature Grammy Award nominee, Angie Stone, Grammy Award winner, Janelle Monáe, Brit Award winner, Emeli Sandé, Barbadian saxophonist, Arturo Tappin, calypsonian David Rudder and popular soca acts like Kes the Band and Dil-E-Nadan.
