Old Hilarians' 16th Annual All-Inclusive Carnival Fete Jan 21st, 2012
The Old Hilarians’ Association will be having its 16th Annual All Inclusive Carnival fete on January 21st, 2011 at the newly refurbished O2 Park, Chaguaramas from 3pm to 10 pm.
Yes, we’ve moved the Fete. The School is transforming, and it’s not possible to hold the Fete in the School Grounds this year. We’d like to emphasise that this move in no way reduces the connection between the Fete and the School, as the main reason for the Fete is for us to assist in the financial support of the School.
Consequently the Fete Committee has decided to utilize a wonderful new venue for Fete 2012, O2 Park in Chaguaramas. We’ve also shifted the HOURS of the fete just a little. We’ve returned to our original times of 3 pm to 10 pm. This should ease any potential traffic woes, as there are no other major events.
We have, for fifteen years, consistently given our patrons excellent value for their ticket price, and this year, we have gone to even greater lengths to make sure we provide patrons with value for money. We have held our price the same for the last THREE years, but we cannot escape a small price rise this year. The tickets cost $750.
Our lucky patrons will continue to enjoy the super premium experience, with Johnny Walker Blue Scotch Whisky, Möet et Chandon champagne, Ketel ONE and Grey Goose vodka and a full ultra-premium bar. New to the Fete this year are the specialty Nuvo and Ron Zacapa bars. We continue to have the Sober Zone and wonderful non-alcoholic beverages for the designated driver!
The Old Hilarians always provide a ‘mouth watering’ array of food, and this year is no exception. We have way too much to mention all…but, we will tell you a few... we’ll have our renowned Creole Meal, Bake and Shark and Curried Crab and Dumpling, our ever-popular Stewed horse and Bar b que pigtail, soup and salad bar for those looking to Fete and still keep to the plan for Carnival 2012, as well as succulent roast pig, ribs, fajitas... and many other delicious items!
Our music is first class as usual - we have the 2011 Groovy Soca Monarch, Kees Dieffenthaller and Kes the Band, Destra and her band, and Dr. Roy Cape and the All Stars. Alicia D Duchess and Carbon will be our DJs, with the best in soca to get bodies moving!
