There isn't anything we as West Indians cannot do as long as we do it together. This was evidenced by the DJ line-up for the best WHITEOUT event in Canada. It was indeed refreshing and inspiring to see all these professionals together on the same stage doing what they do best......putting on a great performance and having fun doing it.
To those who ignored the numerous warnings as it related to the dress code which was ALL WHITE TOP ALL WHITE BOTTOM (and NOOOOO!!!....socks and underwear does not count) you missed a great event.
BEAUTIFUL women dressed in white ready-to-fete attire with the sweet soca/dancehall sounds served up from Torontos' best DJs is the ideal recipe for a successful event.
To single out any one DJ on the night would be a great injustice as ALL of them were on point. The highlight of the night for me was not simply the awesome time had by all but seeing all these professionals on stage together despite rumours of a rift. It was indeed a very promising and welcomed sight not just for the writer but for all in attendance. Since it was the topic of discussion on the way out from the fete and later in the car-park.
The people WANT unity...they NEED unity. Events like WHITEOUT through the performances and appearance of ALL KOS members past presence and future goes a long ways . So on behalf of all those in attendance yesterday to Dr. Jay and KOS members I would like to Thank you and we look forward to greater things in the future.
