When last you go to a basement dance and everybody bang the ceiling so much in excitement that you swear it gonna fall in! Vibes, vibes...Boom bang bang!!!! We must say Busspepper took on board the feedback from the last event and pulled off a great Ladies night at a brand spanking new venue in the heart of London.
Reaching 'APT' bar early, it was good to see the dance already full but not too full that we couldn't move...not surprisngly, at 'Ladies night' there were some huge girl crews dressed to the nines and eager to get their promised bottles of champagne for the biggest Ladies group! We even had a hen night in the dance... and guess what? where there's girls... there's guys!! Ladies you were on point, fellas...uhm... what's with the scarves? Do you need to keep warm whilst looking for a wine????? And please go easy on the dodgy chat up lines! LOL... nevertheless peeps were having a ball and lapping up the Ladies night vibes!
Apt Bar was easy peasy to find, right between two tube stops and also surrounded by parking ( well speaking of us early birds at least). The party was then set out on two floors, with food and a chill out area at the top and the main dance in the basement below...Like all basement bars that meant lots of dark corners, which can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for/running from !!!
Food was on sale all night and we hear the shark and bake was on point !!! As for drinks, well you know London is expensive but this did take the cake!!! You looking at £5 for a very carefully measured conservative English single shot !!! hmph! However the bar was flowing and everyone had a drink so I guess...when in Rome!!!
Tonight was also the Launch of Shipwrecked's Notting Hill Carnival 2011 presentation 'Shipwrecked in Arabia', so the patrons were treated to an extra special treat of hot Ladies and Gents in full costume gyrating through the crowd to get everyone in the mood for carnival! Just seven (7) weeks to Notting Hill and we getting warmed up !!
Right...so belly full, expensive drink in hand, eye candy in costume and out of costume...it's time to hit the floor and see how the vibes pumping ! A Female DJ (Dame du Show's DJ Cinde Rella) was added to the usual line up tonight in support of Ladies night and got the crowd going with Rn'b and dancehall... but we must big up DJ Markee who had hands in the air, slapping the ceiling in glee at the 3am set starting with some Buju, some Sanchez, some Pressure... 'Love and affection'... Boom...dark corners utilised in full !!!! You could actually see the dust fall from the ceiling as hundreds of hands loved up the reggae vibes! Now we even learnt some new dance moves...it's amazing how everyone could be listening to the same music but you swear the man in front of you have on his headphones and dancing to a different beat... oh yes that's right... some complete Michael Jackson dance moves to soca...Entertainment!!! Someone teach the man to Jones and Wuk up !
All in all, we must say this was the best Busspepper we have attended in a while and now we are 100% excited for Notting Hill Carnival, we counting the days!!! Keep the vibes flowing, keep the music pumping and keep us on our toes !!

Yes your article was on point! Although this was not the best busspepper. The fete after Trini Carnival was wild crazy crazy fun. That fete made me switch to being a Busspepper regular! Vibes Good! Music on point! Food simply scrumptious!! Can't wait for the next one...
