After sold-out performances at Naparima Bowl earlier this month, Raymond Choo Kong Production's hit play WHY DID I GET MARRIED?, based on Tyler Perry's blockbuster film starring Janet Jackson and Jill Scott, comes north to the CLR James Auditorium at Cipriani Labour College, March 23-27!

Raymond Choo Kong productions has launched the brand new 2011 theatre season with this hard-hitting, belly-busting, brand spanking new comedy. Based on the hit Tyler Perry film, this is the epic tale of four couples: Garvin and Patricia (played by Mark Nottingham and Caroline Taylor); Terry and Dianne (played by Kearn Samuel and Jeanine Lee Kim); Angela and Marcus (played by Abeo Jackson and Arnold "Pinny" Goindhan); and Shelia and Mike played by Rachel Bascombe-Koranteng and Raymond Choo Kong. The couples go on their annual retreat to try to strengthen their relationships – and all hell breaks loose as some secrets refuse to stay hidden!

Of course every good bachannal must have the resident brass-faced outside woman (played by Carnella Barkley), and the slightly psychotic "child middah" (played by Kimberly Crichton), as well as the knight in shining armour... in this case a 6ft something strapping Tobago hunk (played by Christopher Smith). It’s a battle of the sexes of cataclysmic proportions that specially invites audiences to be a part.

What's more, you can see this hit play for a steal! The ever-popular $100 ticket special is back, exclusively for the Thursday and Saturday matinee performances! All other performances are $150, and available at the CLR James Auditorium Box Office at Cipriani College from Monday March 21 (10am to 6pm daily).

Showtimes are 9pm, Wednesday 21 through Friday 25; and 5:30pm and 8:30pm on both Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 March. In addition to the Box Office, tickets can also be bought at: Green Street Sports Bar & Grill (667-2495); Zippers (Ellerslie Plaza: 628-7978 and West Mall: 633-8308); Stetchers (Trincity Mall: 640-9274); Michael & Jody's (Gulf City Complex: 653-0404); The Card Gallery (Price Plaza, Chaguanas: 672-9842)

So come, get ready to pick your side – because man an ‘oman going dong fighting to the bitter hysterical end!
