Boujoix! What a way to kick off the week (when last you take a wine on a South thing), the premium all inclusive event at Bel-Air Grounds, south side, an event it was! In true Trini style I arrived late so I didn’t get to see the big band Karma perform, say what we will catch them at a next event. However on entrance I was pleased, the crowd looked sizable with a wide selection of various foods and drinks at the extensive amount of booths and promotional tents to choose from. I made my stop at the Grey Goose tent and enjoyed the party from there as I was hooked on the Le Citron cocktail (had 9!). Not forgetting the Parton booth (Coffee tequila) nice, AMCO we need more of these in parties.
Probably because everyone was booked to perform at the 2011 Soca Monarch Semi Finals, the next best band in line was to hire someone not nominated and that being, Bajan band Krosfyah. Not that their lackluster performance took away from the event, it had numerous laughable moments, like the drunk patrons who tried to sing the intro to Cassie's hit song ,"Town Ting" but end up wining on the MC or the publicly drunk uniformed police officers.
Just when you thought it was over, here comes Mr. Wild and Frisky themselves (wonder who is wild and who is frisky? Hmmm), JW and Blaze doing what they do best… Palancing. Nice vibes (probably because everybody was drunk). Great choices in caterers, the food was delicious. Gourmet doubles, fried fish, wings, bake and shark, patrons had their choice of cutters or main course.
All in one the event was excellent, some better performers next year and this would be the new Blue Range (South Range all inclusive)!
