Well with Band Launches in full swing and the President accepting invitations to attend, Legacy was not to be left out. Attention to detail was not spared with security clearly outlining the parking order left for the dignitaries and right, well, for everyone else. On entering the venue there were Hawaiian dressed ladies adorning everyone with Lies/Garlands and the Digicel Girls handing out rags starting things off with one of their many dance routines. (Big shout to Jenna on that one) Twenty Eleven Legacy theme is South Pacific which is a continuation of the portrayal by Legacy which started with Hiawatha continued to Passages, Kingdom of the Dragon and Masala. The President, Maxwell Richards accompanied by his wife Dr. Jean Ramjohn-Richards were seated to an upfront view where the models displayed costumes in the theme South Pacific along with media and specially invited VIP guest for the final leg in the world voyage that showcased thirteen sections:
Waikiki Beach
Haku Manu Bird Dance
Toka Festival
Hula Dancers
Mount Te Manga
Ali’I Kula Lavender
Fijian Firewalkers
Lakalaka Dancers
Lake Lalolalo
Pacific Rim of Fire
Makatea Caves
Aloha Festival
Vanuatu
Things then proceeded to the big stage where the patrons were in an uproar with every costume especially for one model with a strategically placed tattoo. Live entertainment was provided by Traffic with two new additional singers along with Eddie Charles who performed for well over forty minutes offering a wide range of musical styles, something I have noticed with a lot of bands. Several prizes were given out and everyone was well entertained. Legacy setting the stage for the twenty eleven carnival experience.
