LIME was an exclusive Invitation-only (FREE!) pool/beach party at the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach. It was an afternoon affair scheduled from 2-8pm... but sadly hardly anyone showed up before 6pm. The venue was beautiful: a white sophisticated pool area where mainly the hotel guests were chillaxing and a white sandy liming area with bars, BBQ and DJ, complete with private beach cabanas. :-) First impressions were this was going to be a stunning party!
The crowd were definitely the stylish, trend setting professional kind that Gresham/ShorBlu/Trends Concepts/NY Caribbean Vibes were aiming for. Guests did not wild out outrageously to the Soca and Dancehall tunes played by Jugglers and Sprang Int'l, everyone was more or less vibing in a rather mellow way and enjoying the ambience. The food offered was definitely more than just the hors d'oeuvres advertised! They went ALL OUT and queuing for about 30min was well worth it, it was prepared fresh and best of all: COMPLIMENTARY!!
Drinks were on sale for typical South Beach prices at 3 bars, so whilst they had an abundance of choice... We couldn't quite bring ourselves to pay over $22 for one drink or even $350 for a bottle of Johnny Walker! Wow!!
It was a beautiful venue with beautiful people ... including some very sexy LIME hostesses! ... and the perfect way to spend a relaxing Saturday afternoon in the Miami sunshine!
All in all, a good lime to go to if you had a wild night on Friday and you are looking to have a more social event on Saturday afternoon!!! The afternoon session allowed you plenty time to head to your hotel or home to freshen up for the big events on Saturday night without rushing.
Now ... time for some wildness!! :-) ... Maybe?
