Well I'll be dipped, and shipped, then rolled in breadcrumbs. OK, I know people get a bit hyper for any cooler party, and I understand why people may "jump out themselves" for a cruise. But what would you call something that had non-stop vibes, coolers, females and entertainment. Let me try, FABULOUS....BESS....SELL OFF....HOT....and I guess the one description that brings it home; SCORCHING.
Three levels of pure vibes. from the bottom deck, where people were partying hard to the music provided by the DJ, and on top of that, Rhys Thompson; drummer of upcoming alternative band 5 Miles 2 Midnight lent a musical hand by playing his drums to most of the tunes. So you kind of got that live performance feeling. Well, some of the other patrons, tried their hands at the drums....some failed miserably, some seemed deaf musically while others with a little more practice could do something.
The middle deck was as I call it, The Social Deck. This is where people were enjoying watching down at the people downstairs, smiling and laughing at the downstairs patrons have a ball. Some "Social Deckers" stared at the ocean. Enjoying the soothing breeze as the sun set with the music in their ear, while others rushed the bar.
Now this was the most surprising to me. Last time me and D' Local one covered this, we used the top deck to take a breather from all the action. To sort of take a bench and relax our legs before we go back into the "ramajay." Not this time. It really felt like the top deck was a clone of the bottom. Talk about people. Once again had me wondering, "How is one photographer going to be able to cover all this without taking a little wine?" Sigh. Besides enjoying the sunset, or the Port-Of-Spain lights in the distance, people just really found the need to take a wine on the top of the boat. "My goodness Trinidadians, why allyuh sooooo???" For that, next time I am going to clone myself to do a thorough "investiquire" of the female patrons both in looks and in waistline for the next Cooler Cruise.
We at TJJ would like to thank all Scorch Magazine Staff and organizing team including Kerron Riley, Nial Royal and the one and only Hypa Hopper for having us at another one of their successful boat rides. We hope for continuous success with the events as well as the magazine. Call us for another one, for sure we will be there.

So with everybody and their neighborhood doing boat rides now and in a island where we just love to party, you hear Scorch magazine is doing a boat ride. This is you "Oh gosh, everybody want to do boat rides now..steupss" Well I'll be your conscience and say: "Not everybody, just SCORCH". Because this was what a boat ride is to be like for me, (I got to wear a bikini too palance outside of carnival...whoop whoop). It was Sun, swimsuits, shades, drinks, shots, jamishness, vybez, sexy men, sexy scantily clad ladies, music, vybez and ohh did i say vybez. Wow!!
I can't even tell when exactly the boat ACTUALLY sailed because i was already wining low (on the bottom deck) where all the action was while patrons were still filtering onto the boat. And may i fast forward to say that by the time the sun went down people were wining on any and everything. You know when something is so good that your lost for words, well not meaning to hyperbole but I AM LOST FOR WORDS. I had work the next day and suffered from a serious SCC (Scorch Cooler Cruise) tabanca and body pain from wining too much....ohhh and of course a hang over. Kudos to Hypa Hoppa, Nial Royal and everyone who made this cruise what a cruise supposed to be. (In my opinion) Question: When did they say is the next one?...lol |
