CROWD:
The 2010 SLAM 101.1fm Motorcade was the first of the year in Bim and one of a small handful in the last few years, but Barbados' popular new radio station SLAM 101.1fm brought radio literally to the streets with a string of trucks, music bumping and the SLAM 2010 Calendar girls handing out free drinks to spectators.
VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
The motorcade brigade of trucks and ATV's kicked off just north of the city traveling through Bridgetown, along the south coast of the island and back up to SLAM headquarters.
VIBES:
Ice cold drinks were handed out to the crowds of spectators during the midday heat, drawing even more attention to the tunes being pumped through the streets, bringing the city to life. The streets were humming with people coming out of stores and cars to see what was happening, a great afternoon which left Bridgetown smiling.
FOOD/DRINK:
No food - it was a motorcade, but free drinks handed out by the 2010 Calendar girls, needless to say no man was disappointed.
