The Stunning ...

It is Carnival Tuesday - Trinidad & Tobago 2010 - the final day of the jump up - the grand finale! ISLANDPeople presents its Kutchela Presentation and well Kutchela is food ... so we definitely hungry to see how the Tuesday costumes will look like! The costumes were a huge contributing factor to ISLANDPeople's success this year since they were considerably unique - well some of them! Stunning!!! The ideal uniqueness will always keep them different from the other bands in the business ... but then again who isn't unique? All Different Shapes Sizes Colour ... People! ISLANDPeople! I give them the award for always uniting the different people in one band and always contributing to that kaleidescope of a cosmopolitan society.

The uncontrollable vibe and energy brought to you by Kutchela in 2010 was remarkably the best I have seen for the season ... with the likes of international DJs and the best of the local bunch .. what more can you expect than to chip on the pavement ... jump up and scream that you pay for your costume ... or as the song says really ... one word ... PALANCE!!!!!
So after mentioning the music, we have to mention the drinks trucks because after all this thing they call all inclusive - it either makes you or breaks you as a promoter ... ISLANDPeople did not disappoint - the drinks trucks were serving and boy were they serving ... the usual liquors and alcoholic beverages were definitely present and apparently no masquerader had issues or problems getting anything to drink ... workers ... that  is another story ...

The Shocking ... (said in a Sean Connery Scottish accent)

Maybe it is just to be controversial but even though the vibe and the energy  was uncontrollable - it was still calm and quiet ... it was not constant ... but then again when is it ever? Arguably in some parties the vibe never leaves ... but can we compare jumping up on the road to jumping up in a party?  Energy  drinks in ISLANDPeople - still coming  with their fizzy drinks ... Monster ... though made an exceptional chaser for some ... Guinness & Monster ... wonder how some lower back movements were working later on in the night?? Maybe IP should try a Gatorade one year ...
Water & Angostura Lemon Lime Bitters ... the other chasers some people were swallowing also finished and controversially some would say we could use soda water ... ahmm!!! The verdict is still out on that! A humble mumble was whispering throughout the band though that they left the stadium too early ... 7:00 AM ... shocking ... but it has its reasoning behind that i.e. lets cross the stage early ...

The Oh! No No No No ... ...

So out with all the "good" and in comes the .... I am sorry but we not jumping up with ISLANDPeople again maybe? There were some people who left saying yeah ... we in IP 2011 ... some ... yeah most likely ... others ... gwaan from here with that question!! I do know that ISLANDPeople will always have their followers ... they will continue to have that band wagon of masqueraders ... but can they keep it constant?? Me ... personally ... I think ISLANDPeople lost some of their following ... but they will always gain new people ... because people will always bring other people ...
We are still upset that you treat your workers with such distaste and just proper ... what is the word? ... like if we are slaves ... yeah we got worker wrist bands ... but what were they made of? paper ... not even the hard plastic ... paper ... what did we get to drink? nothing ... yet we can get drinks we survive on the friends of friends in the band .... never again ...
So this is my last one for the season ... was it the pinnacle for me ... no it was not ... maybe I peaked too early ... 2011 ... see you soon ...
