A TJJ Fetalotathon favorite split into two events this year. Travel plans were based on being in sweet TnT for A.W.O.L. Unfortunately, A.W.O.L is now Fall Out and Zante. The Appraiser was not among the lucky ones to make the cut to get into Fall Out, but let’s see what the Zante half of the split has to offer.
We could not help but imagine what the dance would have looked like had this one not split up, the venue was sweet. The crowd was a good mix of older folks, and the grown and sexy crowd. First stop, the Johnny Walker Green bar. No need to say, this became home base for the night.
Jus Jase did his thing, worked the mic, and hyped the crowd. Once again JW and Blaze did their thing. I am now prepared to call it (Road March) for "Palance", but we’ll see. I’m definitely not looking for them for Soca Monarch though. I doh know anything about judging Soca Monarch, but somehow ah feel if yuh consistently ending your performance with “have a good day”, maybe Soca Monarch is not so much for you. We were surprised there wasn’t better lighting for their stage performance but the crowd did not seem to care about that too much, talk bout Palance in the dance. We did miss so sinks outside the potties too. Another tune that buss d dance on the night was Ravi B's "Ah Drinka", BIG tune!
So all in all, the fete was up there as far as the quality we have become used to. The split in the crowd is truly a great shame. Thanks for showing us love Zante family! We’ll be back next year!
