: Darkcide Media and U.I.M recording artiste Chedda, a savvy lyricist and one of Jamaica’s rising young talents continues to break new ground with the unveiling of the New Year. 

The deejay whose real name is Tyrello Johnson is currently in the studio working on several new singles while gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated mixtape titled ‘The Curse Of The Gifted’ later this month.
 
The project produced by T’Jean Bennett, Raymond Small  and Andrew Myrie is the Cassia Park native second undertaking since bursting onto the scene less than two year ago.

The 17-track compilation showcases Chedda’s versatility as he addresses a broad cross section of issues ranging from crime, violent, love, envy, greed and a number of other current affairs.

An intense promotional campaign is slated to follow the release of the project in the coming week.

In September 2009 Chedda scored his first top ten video by clinching the number 10 spot on entertainment cable giant, HYPE-TV's VTX Countdown. The video 'Make It Clap' featuring Blak Diamon, Daro and Supa X was directed by Road Block Films who was also responsible for Ding Dong's, "Holiday", “Responsible Parents” and Wasp's, "Unfair Officer".

The previous Summer he nabbed his first hit single with 'My Rifle' copping 5th position on the German Reggae Charts the song was produced by Craig Romani Gregory. Since then he has recorded tracks for a numbers to noted producers including Miami based Calibur Entertainment and Super Hype’s UPT 007 Records.
