WMM welcomes Digicel as title sponsors of Nevis Fashion Weekend

She has said that for some time she has struggled to bring awarenes to the public on how impactful the fashion and entertainment industry can be to youths. "Digicel recognizes its possibilities and has joined forces with us in paving yet another avenue for the industry to prove itself as a vital avenue for positive youth development," said Guilbert.\ Digicel is as excited as WMM as the two forces join to create an event that will remain in the minds of all attendees for years to come. The first annual Nevis Fashion Weekend will be held July 19 - 22 to kick of the 2007 culturama activities. The event will comprise of welcoming VIP cocktail - July 19, press conference, fashion show and after party - July 20, food and fashion fair and swimsuit showcase - July 21 and farewell beach bash - July 22. Twelve designers from across the Caribbean, US and Mexico have confirmed their participation in the event including renowned cosmetic company Sacha Cosmetics out of Trinidad. Sacha cosmetics is the official make-up line of the first annual Nevis Fashion Weekend. The designers include: Charrlah Connor and Janay Raymonde of Anguilla, Kaishah Peters out of St Maarten, Amethyst of Bermuda, Calvin Southwell of Antigua, Ximena Valero out of Mexico and MuJaji out of New York. Local designers are; Yejide Parry and Rifka Maycock of Nevis and Mikieda Franklin, Sanara Bussue and Sandra Weekes. The official home of NFW is the Historical Old Manor Hotel to whom Guilbert gives many thanks for their tremendous support. The hotel will be the venue for the main fashion event during the ultimate fashion weekend.
