Designers Manish Malhotra and Suneet Verma with Hot Models to Dazzle at The Bollywood
Music & Fashion Awards 2007
The Awards will be held on November 17th, 2007 at the Mark. G.Etess Arena, Trump Taj Mahal and Casino, Atlantic City, New Jersey. Any line that remains between the worlds of fashion and entertainment will be erased when stars and designers alike will celebrate the year's finest collections at the show.
Dazzling performances by Alisha Chinai, Kumar Sanu, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sukhbir, Caribbean superstars Rooplall Gordharie, Geeta Bisram and the Angels Caribbean Band and many more stars will enthrall the audience.
The aim of the event is to stimulate creativity amongst the world's most talented fashion designers and to bring awareness to India's most remarkable fashion industry. Awards will be given for the best collections as well as to Indian celebrities who display outstanding sense of individual style. The most extensive and elaborate preparations are underway to make this gala night a spectacular and dazzling event. No effort will be spared to make this event both different and memorable.
In addition to the awards, 20 top models from India and America will showcase the collections of leading Indian Designers Manish Malhotra and Suneet Verma, setting the catwalk on fire.
Manish Malhotra’s name is synonymous with style. He is responsible for the trend-setting and dazzling creations worn by actresses such as Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, and many more. Manish has won a plethora of Awards for style and designing. He even attired Michael Jackson in a kurta pajama at the first Bollywood Awards! His creations showed incredible exuberance and a willingness to experiment rarely seen in most designers. Manish has done the interior designing for one of Bombay’s hottest new spots ‘Soy’ and is now assisting Yash Chopra on a film, as he has plans to direct a film on his own soon. The world is Manish’s drawing board, and his art will be on display for all to see on the catwalk at the Bollywood Music & Fashion Awards.
He has singularly been chosen by the top Indian families to design and dress the entire families for their weddings and special occasions, namely the Lakshmi Mittal wedding in Paris and several others. As a consultant designer, Suneet has done development for several design houses in Europe and the USA, namely Donna Karan, Calvin Klien Caroline Heirara and Nicole Miller. Suneet has been one the pioneers of the Indian fashion industry and has now become a house hold name leading the India fashion industry. He is also the founding member of the FDCI, (The fashion design council of India). Suneet Verma’s originality and entrepreneurial abilities have made him a pioneer in the Indian fashion Industry.
Previous participants of the Fashion Awards have included Diane Von Furstenberg, Tyra Banks, Steven Seagal, Jean Claude Vandamme, Rachel Roy, Jerry Hall, Harvey Weinstein, Nikki Hilton, and many more.
