It's Summer, but We Getting Wettttt!!!

Well... everybody, but those in VIP I should say!

It is officially summer in the Caribbean peoples, and Sunday July 12th, 2009 was the annual Caribbean Wet Fete held at the BTI Carpark in Barbados. The producers of the event came off bigger and badder this year with some major headliners. Sensational Caribbean artists such as Bunji Garlin, Fay Ann Lyons, Super Blue and RDX, flew in for this highly anticipated event. In addition to these top notch acts, fantastic local artists including Strategy, Peter Ram, Lil Rick, Stabby the Guard and Jabbae (to name a few) took the stage and really had the crowd going!

TJJ Bim thought that we were making a "fashionably late" appearance by getting to the venue at 2:00 pm (show was scheduled to start at 12) but VIP was a little scarce! We headed to the bar for some rum punch and strolled around to see behind the fence a waterfall and tons of people wukkin' up under it in the general admission section. Out there was pure action! But Ms. prim and propers... yours truly (hehe) and Apple Bottom Juice decided to keep it dry and stood in the VIP and backstage areas.

As the day progressed the crowd started coming (because Caribbean time for 12:00 o'clock as we all know is about 3:00 o'clock real time!). The steaming sun started to cool down, people were liquored up and jamming, then the party really started. The LIME girls were out in full swing, dressed in their hot shorts and halter tops. The Barbados chicks had looked real nice folks... they had the boys heads all hot and bothered! Now we Caribbean people know how to dress, and Wet Fete is all about the fashion!! My girls were DECKED down!!! There were two extremes at Wet Fete, the super scandalous dibby gals or the super fantastic fashionable chicks. We had an eye full!!! Really wanted to take some shots of some outfits, but peoples.... some of these get ups were way to explicit for Trini Jungle Juice! If ya want to see .... next year for your annual Crop Over trip, come a wee bit earlier and check out Caribbean Wet Fete!

Crop Over has started folks! Let the partying begin....
