It may be summer, but school definitely is NOT out! Wednesday 15th July, Wadadah rolled out their annual "Back to School" fete. This is one theme party that about 95% of the crowd was actually in theme. People went all out for this one by reppin' their secondary schools, primary schools, sports clubs and we even spotted some Girl Guides and Brownies in the mix!!

TJJ Bim & Denmark rolled up around 11:30pm and the line at Kensington Oval was ridiculous, I swear about a million people were in the line! After what seemed an eternity wait in the "special line to the left" and a few hiccups at the door, we finally got in. Now... if there were a million people in the line, well there were a trillion people inside the fete! The place was packed to capacity!

The deejays were excellent, beating down some old school calypso tracks and all the new up tempo hits from Trini Carnival, as well as, the hot new Crop Over jams. So entertainment wise, Wadadah definitely pulled this one off. Bar wise, well let's just say we're not even sure what the bar looked like ... we were a wee bit dehydrated at this fete. Ah well, we are there to work and not to get as drunk as a skunk!

After a little altercation in the crowd, the deejays shut off the music and the doors were closed off as inside reached maximum capacity (which I think they reached around say 12:00 am ). And as it was getting a bit late, we decided to make an exit at this point. As we got outside the crowd was insane! This fete seemed to definitely be the talk of the town as it seemed like all of Bim was there!!

So Wadadah, pretty good lime ... a bit too crowded, but definitely was full of entertainment and some special characters.

Sleeping with meh eyes open,
