Date: Thursday 30th April 2009 Location: Automotive Arts Carpark. Cayman Island Promotions: Swanky International Click on thumbnails to see the big picture/entire gallery Jamishness in Cayman? This 'Army of One' touched down on beautiful Cayman Island early Thursday afternoon, went to Swanky International's mas camp, even had time to take a lil' dip at de beach, dinner, and then it was off to get ready for Swanky's Glow Foam Fete. Well it's a good thing I happen to pack white clothes eh, cos no one gave the memo b/4 hand! Anyway, de rest of de Swanky team & I (all in white) reach the venue (Automotive Arts Carpark) by midnight and people were already getting down & dirty in de foam!!! DJ Eternal Vibes outta Miami, was killing dem with all de latest soca hits! Then came Toronto's Dr. Jay de Soca Prince, rinsing tune after tune. Let me tell yuh, dem boys had de whole crowd going bazodee with music. Dey had de girls stripping to their bikinis (even bras) and de fellas going bare back and loving up de foam. It seems like de more alcohol people had in their system, the crazier dis fete got! And u know its a real jam session when girls are wining on lamp posts & ting (photo). So there I was, taking pictures & minding my own business, when somebody picked me up and run straight to de foam, spun me around a few times & had me eating foam n all ... LOL! Well no scene, I happen to love foam!! If you fraid of a lil' foam, doh worry, there was plenty of dry space to get on bad same way. But I ask, where is the fun in staying dry... so it was back to de foam!
But wait, dey briefed me when I got picked up from the airport that Cayman Islander's are very conservative & how they don't carry on as bad as Trini's and ting, ting. Well dey LIE, cos it was pure JAMISHNESS I was seeing in de dance! So much so, that at some point I had to stop for a minute & jus observe (& even take a couple pointers) de moves dem people were doing. Big up Kenzie Rudness & crew, u all know how to mash up a dance! The winery continued until they kicked us off de carpark ... but not before Mr. PlayHouse wheeled "Rompin Shop" like 3 times... well look ting NOW START! Lawd, well just look at de pics, cos I ain't able! And folks please don't try any of what you see at home ... leave it to de pros!!! This fete definitely gets the TJJ Thumbs Up ... bess fete for the Cayman Carnival! We will surely be there in our whites next year. Big up Craig, looking forward to what else u have in store for us on de road. All
