Super All Inclusive Party This
has been one of the longest running events in South Florida; one thing that has
not changed is that is one of the largest and most anticipated events when it
comes around. When
you think of Stages, you picture a huge outdoor venue, all inclusive drinks, exclusive
VIP. Well this year 2009s first Stages event promised all that except for
one change; it would be housed entirely indoors in the massive Ice Palace Studios,
Downtown Miami. And with the two weeks of nonstop rain we going through that means
the party will not be washed out no matter what!! So
with that in mind, we headed down to Event #2 for our South Florida Memorial Day
weekend lineup. Tonight was a night not to be late ... is line to park yuh car,
and then if yuh see the line outside of Stages ... it's like all of Florida come
out, even the VIP line n' all was long. We collected our passes and were on the
inside with our tall promotional Stages Mug in hand!!
Let's check out the scenery. Straight ahead is the stage near the back of the
studio and the bar is to the left. Behind the stage is the sectioned off VIP area
... and if yuh see people in front the stage!!!! As they say, DANCE SELL OFF!!

| This
year the name "Stages" was really appropriate because with everyone
housed inside the studio the stage became the focal point of the event. This meant
that the DJs were on show, and they all seemed to relish the opportunity. When
Black Chiney stepped up on the stage and Walshy Fire grab the mic,
the levels just raise in the whole party!! So when Jazzy T (Renaissance
Disco) stepped up next, he made sure to keep the vibez going. Needless to say
the music was on point, so this was not a pose off party ... this was a move yuh
body dance!! Next
up were the Sound Boys of Papa Keith and Renegade, who again took
the vibes up even higher. And bless their hearts for injecting some Soca in the
dance ... so it was jamishness in front the stage. I guess the apparent trade
off for not being in an outdoor venue is a much higher vibes level and dancehall
feel, which inspired the DJs on the night. Not a bad deal. Next
up is on the itinerary is Chill... Party
