WIth the carnival season marching on nicely and things warming up in sweet T&T, we figure we gonna give the TJJ massive a little heads up on how things looking on this side so far for 2000 & Wine! For me, my soca season now starting and luckily I kicking it off with with one of the most notorious and well loved soca crews in Europe, my boys, the Soca Twins. The party is called "Soca Rum", and my Jam Masters Crew is the special guest at this underground, bunker type, back in the war days venue. The place remeniscent of an old second world war movie, yuh know the scene when the war done and the rebuilding stage start? Old and new coming together. Typical Berlin style! Putting the aesthetics aside, this is a city I feel right at home in, just because of the vibe it sends off and how the people here party hard. They have embraced the Caribbean ting, and when it comes to soca, other cities in Germany cyah tess! D1 say so!

So I stagger in the dance with Boone, the MC from Soca Twins (dat boy could drink!) and things feeling good. Soca Twins deejay, Franky (dat boy could drink too! ) warming up the place with some nice groovy soca tunes and now we scoping the scene to try and gauge what type a night it would be. Because an experienced party analyst could always size up the party early to tell if its gonna be a big dance or a flop. Ask Chooks! I catch a gape of some nice ladies, dressed not too carnivalish/naked because it was colder than a Carib from way way down in the back of smokey's freezer! A real nipple breaking chill. But they looking good with a capital "G" anyway! TJJ in the building, and in true Jam Masters fashion, I start to mingle and let it be known that we present. People liking themself in front the camera and the music adding to a consistent build up to climax everybdy seemed to be waiting for. This would be a best night and a big inspiration for the rest of the carnival season on this side of Europe. Atleast, I HOPE SO!

The thing hot now and people going mad. Jumping, waving, singing the words to some tunes I didn't even know. Embarassing but what a joy to see! The place ram and the warmth starting to take over. Boone bawl out on the mic "but look at woman in here!", so of course I had to see if he was right. Boy oh boy! No disrespect fellas, but thanks for staying home this night! 3AM! How time does fly fast and I have to cut my wining up on a lil' sweet thing short cause I hearing on the mic, "5 more tunes and then D1 straight outta Holland taking over!" The disadvantages of this profession! But so it go, and its time to try and keep the vibe up on that level where Soca Twins send the ting.

But when the party so nice, it hard to run the wrong tunes, and so the ting just get sweeter! New tune, old tune, ravin, breathless and the ladies could wine me say! I think we gonna have to start video taping these sessions because allyuh go have to see it to believe it. We go have to fly Jillionaire Juice over here to do the honours! The party went on until the sun come up and still people didn't want to go home. Maddness! On the real, the dance was a nice piece of heat in this killer cold we having on this side and more importantly, was a good indication showing what a hungry soca community we have over here, cock back and ready for the new carnival season! 2000 & Wine looking very very good indeed, and TJJ go be there every step of the way to bring you all the bacchanal, first hand!
