Wow, its been a hot min since TJJ NY has been out. It's Saturday night and we decided to check out we boy Back to Basics birthday bash going down in Tropical Sunset. It wasn't only a b'day bash, it was also a Carnival Send Off Party ... in other words, this party really wasn't missing we!

We decided to arrive early (yes, we can reach ah fete early) to avoid the line up and ting. On de inside now, boy de vibes nice already ... DJ Anonymous is on the wheels spinning some chunes for the early birds. I bumped into one of Toronto's big DJs, D' Bandit, rocking back in a corner. Well boy.. this party had plenty girls, hott ones too. In less than an hour the dance was ram. And we weren't surprised ... come on people, it was a Back to Basics Entertainment production after all! And TJJ know the scene already!

So we headed to the bar for a few rounds when we got stopped by the Guinness girls handing out free Guinness. Hey, it's a recession, so free is we!! *lol* It was still early, so DJ Starkid had Reggae and Hip Hop bussing in the mean time before the madness began.

Ok we're not sure what kind of action was taking place outside, but all we know is Babylon showed up and stopped people from entering. The place was filled to capacity!! That kinda sucked cos Calli B was scheduled to play and he was stuck outside. I coulda take on hearing meh song "Up In Her Belly". Dr. Wax took over de wheels and played real tunes!!

Up next, the b'day boy himself! Well people, is now self the madness start! If you see pase!! Oh an BTW, I was not drunk ... eh no, seriously... KMC's "Am Not Drunk" is my anthem for when I reach home for carnival. As the pase picked up, the heat slowly crept up on me. Oh my goodness, I was sweating bullets ... they can't put some AC up in Tropical??!! They ent fed up hear about the complaints??!! But yeah.. like I was saying, if this party didn't get you excited about carnival 2Kwine, we don't know what will nah!!

All this time, my phone still blowing up from folks who were outside trying to get in ... they "Tusty" boy! Well we get a nice warm up from this fete ... I'm sooooo ready to touch di road. Ricardo, Happy Birthday from all of us at TJJ! Hmm... last year, we get you some doubles, this year we getting you Alot-A-Bull ... lMAO (see our Amnesia 2009 TJJ TV coverage)!! And for those of you who don't know what we talking bout, it's a drink okay!!
