Losssssssssssss! Yah know it is Summer time when the mas bands start launching
for Crop Over. TJJ peoples, I can't wait to see what going on this summer in Bim.
As my boy Rebel put it, "This Summer is going to be interesting!" For
the last two weeks Rebel was telling me, "Cams yah ain't want to miss my
Band Launch! I telling you straight up be there or blame yah self!" So what
could a girl do, but be there! The
plan was to meet Lyn (still working on ah TJJ name) there for 10.00pm, but as
usual I was a lil' late. By the time I got there the line up to get in Taboo was
RIDICULOUS. But with a special phone call, we were in within 2 seconds (how yah
like that! TJJ in business! ). RebelVibes
Entertainment & Clint Gregory Productions had a lot in store for
Taboo's One Year Anniversary and band launch (yes peoples, dem was also celebrating
Taboo Saturday's One Year Anniversary). Besides the show casing of the costumes,
they flew in all the way from NY the talented Wynter Gordon, who performed
her songs "Surveillance" and "My lips like Suga, this
candy got you sprung, so call me your Suga, you love you some, I'm sweet like..."
Boy, I never see so many young men in front a stage just looking bedazzled. In
deed peoples, it was a nice quick performance and it is a fact that the Bajan
men love Wynter!

| So
it was finally time for the presentation of the costumes. Partygoers were ready
to see these costumes, and let me tell yah ... Rebel did not disappoint. "Psychomachia
- The Battle of the Souls" came out in full force. The crowd went crazy.
People had check book and cash in hand. I tell yah I was very impressed! Rebel's
first band and costumes look NICE! The designer Naomi Springer really did
a great job. All
I could tell yah is that the package NICE! Ladies you pay $400BDS ($200 US/$1,200
TTD), fellas you pay $300BDS ($150 US/$900 TTD) and for all this you get All Inclusive
premium drinks on the day, a nice hot buffet lunch at the end of the jump up,
various snacks & treats throughout the day, a goodie bag and much more for
yah money! For a first time band, this ain't bad at all. In
all, the vibe was good. The party had me there doing a couple moves and I to catch
myself that I was there on business! Lol. I gotta give Lyn her props! My girl
was all up in the do getting her flicks as I was busy taking everything in!! Congrats
to RebelVibes and Clint Gregory Productions on the one year anniversary
for Taboo Saturdays. Congrats to Rebel on his first of many band launchings. We
are looking forward to the band fetes pre Crop Over. Good Luck!! And we trusting
you when you say, "This Summer is going to interesting!!" TJJ,
