Pulling into the carpark around 11:45 PM, parking security was busy directing patrons as to where to park. From what we saw, not a sole was allowed to park anywhere once they didn't have valid clearance. These guys meant business ... trussss us! Well after being designated to a parking, we quickly made headway to the main entrance attaining access with ease.
The 8th installment of Outback carried a Special Forces/Army type theme and the décor of camouflage painted tires, banners and sandbags complimented with the heavy use of moss green colored drapery, netting and tent canopies all put together created just the right ambiance.
This year the venue was set up slightly different from that of last year, with the DJ quarters holding a strategic position at the centre of this battlefield of partygoers. Smoke machines in conjunction with a detailed fancy lightning system also added to the settings around the DJ area, creating that special touch.
Bars
were located along both sides of the venue offering abundant alcohol satisfying
partygoers. There was even a “Shot Call” bar offering a variety of custom
made cocktails. Also, the tequila girls (equipped with fresh lime and salt) were
most definitely present, ensuring that shots were always just a finger tip away.
Now this might have been a military type theme, but partygoers definitely were not standing at attention. Many came out dressed to theme, some accessorized up to Dog Tags and all, socializing and dancing the night away. For all those who were still on the battlefield suffering from injuries of too much enjoyment or an over abundance of sexy women (and some even from causalities of too much rum), knew that by the time the infamous Laventille Rhythm Section came out, the party was near over. With the sounds of iron and steel ringing out the night’s air, who ain’t dead or badly wounded chipped their way out of Ground Zero.

The washroom
facilities were located to the back of the venue, and just before that, ample
food stalls could be found... offering wide varieties such as burgers, gyros,
bake n’ shark and doubles. If there were any folks who preferred not to carry
around too much cash, imagine this ... the Gyros stall was taking Visa & MasterCard!
