Orlando, FL Promotions: Orlando Carnival Association Click on thumbnails to see the big picture/entire gallery It is only three weeks until Carnival in Orlando, Florida. The promoters and DJ's have been organizing their events for the past several months. The feters are full of anticipation so they can relax on this holiday weekend and lime with their padnahs. Orlando foremost DJ's (Doughla & Audio 1, Stylz and Richie of Natural Mystic, Nelly from Island Beat Radio, and Smallie & Kemis of The Vibes) were spinning the hottest tracks of soca music. The feters were wining, gossiping, and registering with band of their choice. The bands had some of their masqueraders modeling their costumes. Orlando Carnival has nine registered bands. Some bands are traveling from South Florida to join their friends on de road. This evening six of nine bands were present to display their costumes. The first band to display by Bev Promotions "United We Red". The ladies rock their red shirt with jeans and leggings. The second band was a colorful display of Native Indian Heritage called "Tribe of Pride". The third band from de V.I. Faisty Squad to display is "Fire and Ice". The fourth band to display by Southchase Islands Gems is "Jewel of the Nile". The next band to display is Orlando reigning Band of the Year for 2008, 2007, and 2006 Island Fantasy in which portrays "Seasons". The lovely four ladies and two handsome men complimented winter, spring, summer, and fall. The last band to be display is "Colors" by Powerline Sounds HD. The shirts are simple and sexy with neon colors spray painted. The ladies rock their colorful shirts with fashionable neon accessories. In addition, Powerline Sounds HD will have de Iron Man and Tassa on de road. The weekend before Carnival leading to Memorial Day, artists such as Rupee, KMC, Fay-Ann Lyons and Bunji and more are schedule to perform. Orlando Island Boys will also be hosting their 9th Annual All Inclusive fete on May 23rd, 2009 featuring Nadia Baston and Lennox Picou. Sultry
