Date: Saturday 24th May 2009 Location: Lux Ultra Lounge. Orlando, FL Promotions: Bev Promotions Click on thumbnails to see the big picture/entire gallery After a good jump up on de road today, we were wrapping this holiday weekend @ Club Lux with the Bonnie & Clyde of Soca, Fay-Ann Lyons and Bunji Garlin. What a treat to congratulate the reining Power Soca Monarch ("Meet Super Blue"), Groovy Soca Monarch ("Heavy T") and Road March ("Meet Super Blue") Queen on her career and family success. While speaking with Fay-Ann, she did mention new collaborations of music is in the works. Mrs. Lyons-Alvarez mentioned Maxi Priest and a few others artists. Fay-Ann and Bunji were chilling, conversing and taking pictures with devoting fans. Even though de rains wash out Carnival earlier, that didn't leave the masqueraders dreary. The crowd was dry and hype!! Fay-Ann took the stage with charm and confidence, turning heads with impulsive songs "Party" and 2003 Road March "Display". While performing she asked, "Were you there for Carnival 2k9? Are you preparing for 2010?" Well, I don't know about allyuh, but I was there in full force and will be there next year!! Then Bunji, who wasn't carded to perform, took de stage for a minute with 2005 hit "Blaze It Up". Fay-Ann & Bunji truly compliment each other on stage ... what a beautiful ting!! Congrats (again) to the first lady in history to win all three titles - Power Soca Monarch, Groovy Soca Monarch & Road March in the same year! Join de honour with President Obama and other motivators and changers making history. Keep going and don't stop!! Signing
