Ok... so let's play a guessing game..... What party in Atlanta does have rel people, sexy ladies, boss DJ's, Bake and Shark, Corn Soup, iron beating, sexy ladies (ah say dat already? - small ting), and nuff coolers? OK Jeopardy song playing. Allyuh give up? Well is only one party does really have all of the above ... the Annual Cooler Fete of course!! Imagine big coolers fuh so, small coolers fuh so, music coolers fuh so and thermos fuh so .... all at the 5th Annual Cooler Fete at De Pan Yard.

Just imagine the back of a pick up truck (one like Uncle Edwin use to drive dat could hold bout 50 people in it when yuh going to Maracas) ... imagine one of that inside de party - FULL WITH DRINKS! Yuh doh believe we? See photos 075-077. De hardest of them all for the night was ah crew with ah deep freeze!! LOL. That was de best!!! Ah next one, ah man was pushing ah trolly from Walmart with ah small fridge in it. Waaaayyyyyyyyy .... people went out of their way to make this cooler fete one of the calendar events in Atlanta, building up to the Memorial Weekend Carnival celebrations.

What was nice to see, was a projector mounted showing videos from this past year's Soca Monarch competition in Trinidad and another one was mounted showing pictures by ... uuuuhhh um (clearing throat) by TJJ from last year's Atlanta Carnival celebrations at De Pan Yard ... nice touch guys! But it was all about the coolers tonight!!!

Everyone was in their moment, especially Miss D. She come with her cooler ... in it, a bottle of Jamaican Rum, some mango juice, a couple tins of pinapple juice and about 12 Carib. Well boy, she start off the evening nice and easy, sipping on her rum and pineapple juice .... tick tock .... as time pass, my guyl all over de place with wine .... waaaaayyyyyyyy!! She was in her glee. The next thing yuh know, she can't even remember how she reach home! "Ah won't remember what did in about de next two days ... ah was feeling High, High, High, High, High, High, High, High ... so High off the music!!" Well brudda, she was gone!! Miss D, "Yuh good??" Ah next one was sittin on she cooler whole night ... not moving a muscle ... only from time to time to let her friends in and out de cooler. At one point I thought she was selling her drinks, collecting ah small change. Even the GCC Crew had a couple of tents in ah small corner with drinks left over from dey Red Fete two weeks before.

And all this time, DJ Touches blazing de trail. He wasn't stickin' at all that night. And when he was done, DJ Stephen start to run things. Well it was madness and wildness in de fete. DJ Tony Tempo start to get ah rise out of everybody and Black Talon brought it home with every style in de book. All night, the music was never in question. What more could you want? Well, how about TJJ?? Everybody was soooo glad to see us representing ... thanks for the usual love guys.

The Demolition Crew had ah deep posse ... dem fellas line up to take a photo for TJJ and fullout ah whole car, fuss dey deep! And they had some ladies from 'Inferno' the Carnival band ... looking good. Now allyuh know how police like to spoil ah good ting. We in de dance bout 4.30am and dey want to stop de music ... steups ... because dem realize is only Trini's could party so. Besides, is rel rum sharing inside and dem sucking salt! So what!! Well yuh know de Cooler Fete people doh business. De iron man drag he iron in ah corner and start up. Then ah crew from Grenada pull their coolers in ah circle and have some plastic bottles ... well is serious riddim section business going on. Next ting yuh know is ah man find ah back board from a basketball ring and start up in de middle of de session beating it with his bare hands ... Laaaawwwwwdddd. And people start to sing, "We won't stop till de sun come up cause we ..... wining .... jamming.... we chipping in ah line .... mine is yours ... yours is mine .... cause we .... wining ... jamming!" (Machel Montano HD - Won't Stop) - No police ent stopping Soca music and our freedom to express ourselves .... at least so de drummer say!!

De Cooler Fete was all dat and ah bottle of rum! Everybody had a great time ... we surely did.
