Chocolate, Water, Drinks and Food is a J'Ouvert experience!

People the time is near... Carnival go be over in about 48 hours, so we not going home at all! Is pace now. Straight from Mania to Vampire’s Ball to J’Ouvert 2Kwine! Cameras secured with plastic and we were good to go.

Good, so hear how the thing start. It’s 4am, and we're on Alexandra Street, St. Clair at YMCA, Chocolate City’s meeting spot. People done in the yard taking in the music and the trucks were lined up with drinks with bottles of chocolate being distributed.

After the last announcement for breakfast, chocolate and drinks, we hit the road. "Push Bumpers Remix" pumping on the first truck, "Looking Hot" on the next and "Slip Away" on the last. The band biiiigg! Everybody chipped in between the designated areas and with the security pulling the ropes on either side, we secure.

On route, heading up to the Savannah we bounce up some other jouvert bands, but Chocolate City band big ... so we clear the road when we pass, leaving remnants of chocolate on walls, the streets and people. The ting niiice! At 5:45am the sun was about to break and revellers, emerged with chocolate, heads were nice. Chocolate City family, Iwer George and Kerwin Du Bois, were on the mic giving we a serious session. We wine x 29 going down de road. Lol!

The sun was blazin' when we were in the back of St. James, and the band was looking to head to the foreshore and then back on the Avenue. Is trouble now. The ting now start! It had people all in the middle of the road up and down of the foreshore! From the median to the right lane, iz mas for so! And if you see the madam in her thong rhel winning on people bonnets! The DJ had to buss the Rupee ... “look at people” because is thousands of people line up on the foreshore chipping.

A few blocks away from the meeting spot is only bands we passing, with trucks preparing for Monday mas. But they cah stop the Chocolate City crew! Breaking off Tragarete Road, we home sweet home, and everyone filtered inside to catch the water from the water trucks on the compound. It went from a chocolate fete to a wet fete in two two's! Water for so!!

Yes folks, doh forget to wash off properly, cos the Antz will be coming for the sweetness!! smile

Next stop is Carnival on the road, but stay tuned for more to come from Chocolate City (Borough Day and Labour Day in NY).
