The line up heavy! Mash Up Crew, Threeks Sound, Soca Revolution, my Jammasters Crew deya and live on stage Scrappy and Mista Vybe! Woop Woop! Last year we had a time so all expectations were soaring for this year's edition.

Club nice, not too big but comfy and rugged enough to handle the rukshun. It's "Glow" therefore nuff black lights on the dancefloor so we glowin' teeth and all! It early, but I realize already the place full and getting fuller by the minute. Outside there's a line and its evident, Bohannon gonna explode tonight! People left right and centre, dressed in white to an extent and the ladies looking very very well. But tonight its not about that, we here to work so we focusin on the job at hand. It's all about fire, the best soca music and peer madness! TJJ in the building fully loaded and we ready to represent!

Soca Revolution from Sweden start of the thing and built a nice vibe. The guys love soca music bad bad bad and they not shame to let it be known. Chicks up front breathing hard on the DJ booth, pelting waste, going down low and all that good stuff. Yes, d ting set correct!! Instructions time, so I jump on the DJ set and start to blaze it with no delay! White everywhere, glowing, ranting and very much into the rave! The UK posse in full effect and they were the master of ceremonies, feeding the whole party with their energy. What ah ting?!!! Dem boys start taking off their clothes and all! Coulda been they just have no behavior or because it was like a sauna up in dat mother! People were complaining in a positive way ... if that's possible. "Oh gosh it hot!" but they not stoppin wining, waving or jumping. Wet! Everything wet and clinging, Carnival we say!

Straight outta Montserrat, my boy Scrappy jump up on stage to drop a wicked live performance. This man have energy, a good feel for the crowd and a nice presence on stage. He drove the massive insane with some nice tunes from his collection. But when he say "Start to Bounce", man oh man, peer destruction! Hats off to Scrappy for bringing his A-game to Berlin. My homeboy Hendrik from Mash Up Crew take over after that and continued the assault. Tune after tune after tune, perfect selection feeding the hungry soca lovers in the building.

It was one of those parties you wish would never end. The type of party where you just never feel tired or bored at some point. It just kept on getting better and better. Threeks Sound was now on the DJ set, and they didn't let up on giving the people soca for their money. One thing I realized was that the massive knew the 2009 new tunes, but you saw the difference when an older more familiar tune was played. Bacchanal!

Our very own Mista Vybe was next up on the live performers list. This man should change his name to Mista Energy! From the get go he had the crowd eating out of his hands. The ladies seemed captivated and Vybe did what he does best; mash up di place! After seeing him perform confirmed something I already knew and that is Mista Vybe is a super talented young man! Wicked performance.

The DJ's then took over and we ensured that the party never faltered not even for a minute. A quick look at the time and it was already 5am, still nobody business. People were jumping, waving, wining hard, even pulling up the tunes themselves when the frenzy hit. Was a night to be remembered and more importantly was a great warm up and mental coach if you like to prepare us for what was to follow on the road the following day.

Another one for the books and a stripe for the Berlin Carnival community that just keeps on growing and growing in the mighty name of SOCA!
