Hey Honey Bunches of Oats! Looks like there's no rest for the wicked. We ent too long land from Trini, and we fetting already! Now we're happy to report that the weather is getting a bit nicer here in the Big Apple, so when we got a call from DJ Bird inviting us to come and check out his Bottle Fest party (The Winter Edition) held at Tropical Reflections in BK (ya'll know how I feel about this spot) we said, "Sure, why not!" Of course, at TJJ, it's nothing but love!

After finding the best park ever - no seriously this was a besss park ... I had to jump out of the car and move a dumpster for this park. Anyways we're walking towards the venue and had to come to a screeching halt. The security came to inform us that they can't let anyone else in because it's too crowded. What the foosa? Luckily, I managed to sweet talk my way in. smile

There was an instant heat wave as soon as I got inside. There must have been about 2,000+ drunk & sweaty Trini's. People fanning themselves with plates and all kinda ting. Now in case some of you don't know the concept behind Bottle Fest, here's a quick history lesson. You pay for a ticket and upon entry you get a free bottle of your choice, hence the reason why everybody was drunk!

Squeezing my way through the crowd, I finally found the food corner. That was some bess food boy ... or maybe I was hungry ... lol. As I made my way around, I noticed a few people walking around with miniature bottles. Now I'm not sure if that's what they received at the door, so let me not jump to any conclusions. Don't take my word for it. You had the occasional ballers in the building with their set ups also. I'm still trying to figure out which bottle was the free bottle!!

The music was off the hook. Your usual party favorites were all taking turns on the wheel ... Back to Basics, Platinum Sounds and a few others all rocked the turntables and made sure that everyone's liquor wasn't wearing off.

After a while, I realized that the only sober person in this party was ME (shocking I know). The lights came on and they announced that the party was done. Then it came off, then back on .... and after 10 times of light switching and 10 last chunes ... security finally come an throw dem outta d party. It even had two guards tote-ing two 'drunken masters' by hand ... fuss dem drink!!

Well for this one it's the usual. Great party, bad venue. Now I know why "Radica" leave!! Hahaha ... sorry I just had to. The actual Bottle Fest party will be held in July and TJJ will be there. Bird, you were the best ... thanks for having us.

Rushing to get some breeze outside,
